This Independence Day\, we're staying open late so you can spend more time exploring our newest exhibitions like Power of Poison: From the Depths of the Sea to Your Own Backyard and Da Vinci   Inventions and our thrilling new Frost Planetarium show\, Journey to the Stars!\n\nYou'll start your morning with a special meet-and-greet with an avian friend from our Batchelor Wildlife Center rehabilitation clinic an American Bald Eagle! Learn unique biological facts about these majestic birds as well as conservation tips on how to ensure they continue to soar to stable populations.\n\nThen\, join us in the MeLa  for a presentation that's sure to spark your curiosity: the "Science of Fireworks!" You'll discover the science behind colorful combustions before enjoying expanded offerings of our "Spark of Science" program and "A Tale of Toxicology" live show in the Power of Poison theater.\n\nScience of Fireworks Showtimes:\n\n12:15 p.m.\n\n2:15 p.m.\n\n8:00 pm\n\nLooking for a savory snack to quell those mid-afternoon munchies? Our Food@Science caf  will be open until 7:30 p.m. If you need some caffeine to fuel you through the rest of your 4th\, Coffee@Science will be serving up your favorite Starbucks beverages until 8:30 p.m.\n\nAfter the museum closes\, head out to Bayfront Park and view the largest FREE fireworks show in South Florida starting at 9:00 p.m. You can take the free Metromover from the Museum Park Station directly in front of the museum.
