DESCRIPTION:Get out of your comfort zone and come alive!\n\nCongratulations to the 2016 Tigertail WordSpeak Team!\n\nSeven local teens will travel in July to Washington\, DC\, for Brave New Voices\n\nWe are proud to announce and congratulate our newly-selected 2016 WordSpeak team. WordSpeak is one of 50 national and international teams invited to compete in the annual Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam Festival. BNV will convene in Washington\, DC\, from July 12th to 16th\, 2016. 500 young people from 50 cities will participate in BNV\, considered the Olympics of teen spoken word.\n\n\n\nMark your calendars: In a free pre-BNV event\, the team will perform original spoken word pieces on Thursday\, June 30\, 7pm\, at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden\, 2000 Convention Center Dr. This event will provide the team with an opportunity to perform before a live audience to prepare for the Washington competition.
