KerreKe Performs "Joropango" with Daniela Padron

A special live performance based on the Latin Grammy® winner for Best Folk Album, Joropango

A special live performance based on the Latin Grammy® winning album Joropango featuring multiple-Grammy® nominee, Miami-based Venezuelan violinist Daniela Padron and South Florida's KerreKe folk band featuring vocalist Cynthia Bague. An afternoon of Venezuelan, Colombian and Argentinian music showcasing an innovative blend of traditional genres.

KerreKe performs contemporary folk for Latinos in the US: Based in the vibrant musical epicenter of Miami, KerreKe is the definitive vanguard of the modern Latin Folk movement in the United States. Seamlessly blending traditional roots with a global acoustic sensibility, this multinational collective brings together elite immigrant musicians from Mexico, Colombia, and Venezuela: lead vocalist Cynthia Bague alongside multi-instrumentalists Larry Coll, César Sánchez, and Jorge 'Gio' Montañez. Together, they synthesize ancestral South American folklore, traditional polyrhythms, and contemporary indie-folk arrangements into a sophisticated soundscape that celebrates our heritage from American soil.

The band's definitive acoustic identity, characterized by intricate guitar work, powerful vocal storytelling, and rich percussion, culminated in their landmark studio album, Joropango. Under the visionary direction of multi-Latin Grammy-winning producer Julio Bague, and featuring the stunning strings of virtuoso violinist Daniela Padron, the album solidified KerreKe's position on the international stage. Joropango made history by winning the 2025 Latin Grammy for Best Folk Album, officially crowning them an unstoppable force in contemporary world music.

For lovers of pure acoustic instrumentation, rich cultural heritage, and the fusion of modern folk, KerreKe offers a powerful and evocative listening experience that honors the past while boldly defining the future of Latin-influenced music in the United States.
